Paper Setting &Marking Scheme: Time: 03 Hours MM= 120 Part- A (10x2=20 Marks) Two lines or quotes for explanation—one from Unit 2 and one from Unit 3. Remaining 08 from 2, 3, 4 and 5. Answer to each question shall be limited to 30 words each. Each Question carries 01 mark. Part- B: (5x20=100 Marks) Unit 1: (A) Two references from the essays prescribed in Unit-2 (B) Two references from the essays prescribed in Unit-3 The candidate will have to attempt one reference from (A) and one from (B) (2 X 10= 20) Unit 2,3,4 and 5: Answer one question out of two from each unit. Answer to these questions shall be limited to 500 words.

The marking scheme refers to essays although this paper prescribes poetry and drama; unit/reference allocations need department confirmation.

Part A header gives 10x2=20 marks, while the printed text assigns 01 mark to each question.
