Examination scheme & source discrepancies

The source lists 3 hours, 120 end-semester marks and 30 sessional marks.

Some marking instructions are internally inconsistent. Confirm the current pattern with your department; the practice questions here do not claim to reproduce it.

Paper Setting & Marking Scheme Time: 03 Hours MM= 120 Part- A (10x2=20 Marks) Two lines or quotes for explanation from prescribed dramas in Unit 2 & 3. Remaining 08 questions (2 from each unit) are to be set from Unit 2, 3, 4 and 5. Answer to each question shall be limited up to 50 words. Part- B: (5x20=100 Marks) Unit 1: The Candidates shall attempt one out of two references set from Unit 2 and one out of two references set from Unit 3. Answer one out of two questions set from Units 2,3,4 and 5 in not more than 500 words each.

Printed reference/essay allocation starts with Units 2 and 3 although Unit I prescribes Twelfth Night; the marking scheme appears to retain another unit layout.

The detailed sheet prints “Total lecture per week 3” for this paper although every unit lists 18 contact hours and other Major papers print 6; the owner-supplied PDF (p.13) and the college copy agree on this printing.
